The Actor and the Biz is an inclusive community that believes Black Lives Matter. We cannot remain silent. We condemn all racial and cultural injustice and stand in solidarity with all of the Black community, our clients, artists, friends, and family. The inequitable and brutal treatment of Black people must stop.
We are heartbroken and condemn the wrongful deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Ahmaud Arbery, and hundreds of other Black Americans killed at the hands of law enforcement. We stand with those demanding justice for these innocent lives lost and their grieving families. We demand a just society.
The lives of Black people have been affected by systemic racism and oppression for too long. We acknowledge that white privilege and white supremacy exists in America and in our acting industry. We are committed to doing our part to denounce white supremacy and build an equitable and anti-racist company. Our core values will strive to dismantle all systems of oppression, racism, hatred, and bigotry. This company is dedicated to being a safe space for all BIPOC and LGBTQ+.
